Dance Eligibility:

To be eligible to attend the dance, students must have met criteria below. If your student is not eligible for the dance they will be notified by school administration on the morning of Thursday, November 6th. At OMS, being a student who is “high school ready” is our top priority.

Extracurricular Participation and Social Events - 

Participation in extracurricular school events (e.g. school dances, field trips, clubs, etc.) is a privilege and an important part of the middle school experience. To attend such events, the following must occur starting Thursday, October 30th through Friday, November 7th:

• Students must have no more than 1 absences; excused or unexcused  

• No more than 3 tardies 

• No major behavior incidents resulting in suspension

*Students may file an appeal with the Principal and/or Assistant Principal, should there be extenuating circumstances. We encourage students to advocate for themselves as this is an important life ready skill. This conversation must take place between the student and an administrator prior to Thursday, November 6th.
